March 2008 News

New Season

I trust you have wintered well and are all raring to go as the new cricket season fast approaches. I hope that you will all have received the email copy of the fixture list from which you will note that the first fixture is on April 27th and is the traditional curtain raiser, away to Wrotham.

I do appreciate that on a day like today it is difficult to contemplate playing cricket but perhaps you could give some thoughts to your availability for the coming season and let me know if you are available for the first game.

Mount CC Fixtures 2008

I am attaching a copy of this year's fixtures for your attention. (Note: No attachment available from the website but rather the full list will be added to the fixtures section shortly. PC)

There are a number of changes:

  1. Farningham have joined a league and the only date they could offer was 28th September which I accepted. We have lost the home fixture with them.
  2. We have dropped fixtures vs Hadleigh and Cloghams.
  3. We have retained 2 fixtures vs Westcliff but dates have changed due to their league commitments.
  4. There are no fixtures for the last 2 Sundays in August because this is peak holiday time AND we have 2 extra fixtures in September.
  5. We will resume battle with Tendring and have 3 new local fixtures vs Southend, Leigh-on-sea and Eton House OBs.

I hope you will all be pleased with the outcome.

The printed versions will be with you shortly.
