Mount Tour 2010

We all enjoyed a wonderful tour in July and only lost one game to the rain. We had a great mix of young and mature players and supporters. If winter winds do blow can Spring be far behind? So, we look forward to our Jubilee year with opportunities for special celebrations and renewal of friendships old and new. If you have any ideas to include in our special Jubilee Tour please do let me know.

The dates of the tour are from Sundat 25th July and leaving on Friday morning of the 30th. This is a week later than usual, by which time all the schools will be on holiday - so opening up the tour to both students and families. Combe House is block booked for Mount for the duration of the tour, and they have agreed to hold the same prices as this year for accommodation and meals. I am keen to fill the hotel, so please send me your deposit of £25 as soon as possible, payable to Combe House Hotel. Would you like the Sunday evening meal at Combe House? I favour this as it brings us all together on the first night.

There is one change to our fixtures next year. We shall be playing our old friends Stogumber on Thursday, as after many years John Wilcox has decided not to run his Kilve game next year. I am hoping to arrange a light lunch at the Stogumber pavilion and an early finish to enable us to be back at Combe House in good time for our closing dinner.

Nest season will be very special for the the Mount with the new pavilion at Alleyn Court providing some of the best facilities in club cricket and with the Jubilee tour we have much to look forward in 2010. New members, supporters and tourists are all welcome.
