Mount AGM: Sunday 7th December 2014

The time is approaching for our AGM on Sunday 7th December 2014 at 5.00pm in the cricket pavilion.

The year of 2014 has been fairly disappointing with a number of games cancelled, of course not all our fault.

The Committee work hard to keep the club running smoothly, however the AGM is the opportunity for you, the members to have your say.

Please make an effort to attend and I look forward to seeing you all at the AGM.

Winter Training

Just a quick note to say that we won't be having our indoor session tonight at Alleyn Court.

Hopefully we will be back in action next Wednesday evening.

Mount Tour 2015

I hope you all received my recent newsletter sent by email from Bob Palmer.

We have a full list of fixtures and we should have a strong squad of players and supporters. However, I am concerned about accommodation confirmation. As you know we are moving our HQ to The Hood Arms and I am keen to make a good impression in our first year. You may know that Hinkley Point is building a new reactor during the next fifteen years and will be employing twenty three thousand workers, so local accommodation will be in demand. We have several bookings at The Hood but only one deposit – that being mine! There are four twin/double rooms left at The Hood, so if you would like a room please let me know together with a cheque for £25 per head made out to The Hood Arms. I am keen to explain our position as soon as possible to Combe House, after which we shall have burnt our boats at Combe House.

If you wish to book at ‘Merrywood B & B at Nether Stowey (07803042725), or The Forge at Holford (01278 741215) please do so direct and let me know you have done so.

I do realise how difficult it is to make a decision so far ahead, but I am sure if you decide to join us you will have a great time – so do support your club and our tour.

Winter Training

Just to remind you that myself and Noel will be on the sports hall at Alleyn court for the start of The Mount winter training!

The bowling machine will be out and Noel will have his teacher's head on with lots of fun games for us all.

We will be there from 7pm with some refreshment afterwards, I'm sure.
