As this is our first home game of the season it would be helpful if as many as possible could arrive a little earlier than usual to make sure everything is in order. Stewart will be also there, with keys and stumps, prior to the game.

If you are unable to play please let me know as soon as possible.

Match result:

Mount vs Wrotham
Wrotham: 151ao - Porter 4/6
Mount: 154/8 - Kilpack 29, Martin 25

I did receive a report on the game from DT in which he mentioned that he got two wickets, one of which apparently left batsman, wicket keeper and indeed bowler confessing that they did not have a clue what happened. He neglected to mention that Chris Porter took four wickets and did not mention the batting at all. Simon emailed to say that in true Mount fashion we tried very hard to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but somehow managed to win.

Re: Pre-season get together

Thanks to all those who came along to the ground today to help with the jobs. Between us we filled in the rabbit holes (temporarily, no doubt), oiled the seat and have cleaned the sightscreens. So there really should be no excuse for not seeing the ball, unless someone is unlucky enough to face DT and then it may either come from below or wide of the screen! Anyway, be sure to inspect them at the next home game.

We enjoyed a nice lunch too, and thanks to Neville and others at the school for their help in getting the work done.

2009 Season

Dear All,

Our first game is on April 26th away to Wrotham.

Unfortunately my email was out of action for 10 days recently so if any of you sent me a message between March 15th and 25 advising me your availability I am afraid that I did not receive it.

I have had replies from Richard Hair, Simon Jackson, Paul Southward David Killpack and Ged Williams but no others. If you sent a message, please resend. If you haven’t then please do so .

Kind regards
Bob Palmer

Reminder: Pre-season get together

Just a reminder that we require a gang at the school for a pre-season spring cleaning session, followed by lunch and perhaps a game of French cricket for the kids.

Please come along from 10.30 this Sunday to clean and paint the sightscreens, fill in rabbit holes, litter collection, oiling the wooden bench and any other odd jobs required. Neville will supply the necessary equipment, but I suggest you wear the appropriate old clothing (Mark, don't wear the tweed suit!).

Don't forget that the idea is for everyone to bring something to share for lunch. we will arrange for crockery & cutlery from the kitchen but a "bring & share" lunch only works if you bring something to share!

Families are of course invited, either to help or just for lunch, plus any potential new members you would like to introduce to the club.

See you there.
