Our run of bad luck with fixtures continues with another opposition side unable to raise a team for Sunday’s match – I suspect that the World Cup Final may be a factor on this occasion. Next up for Mount is our trip to Gt Wakering on Friday 19th July for a T20 format game. Please let me know if you are available to play as we are currently short a few players. This is always an enjoyable fixture and Gt Wakering are putting on a buffet at The Exhibition public house afterwards.

We are looking into the possibility of getting together to watch Sunday’s final (should England qualify) and I will keep you posted.

With apologies for the late notice, please be advised that tomorrow’s game at Rankins has been cancelled as they were unable to raise a side. Our next fixture is on Sunday 14th July at home vs St Aidan’s. More details on that match during the week. Have a great weekend.

On behalf of Tour Manager David Thomas, I have to advise that unfortunately this year’s Somerset tour had been cancelled. Despite the best efforts of David, the President, myself and others we were unable to attract sufficient players to make the tour viable this year. Having toured since 1986, it is a great shame to have to cancel and the decision was not taken lightly but we feel that it was the only course of action available to us.

We will consider the future of the tour at our next committee meeting and will keep you appraised of the outcome.
