Winter Nets

Good evening all,

I trust you are all well and that your pre-season training is going according to plan!

A number of you have asked about winter nets and I am pleased to report that LOSCC have agreed to let us take a net at their winter net sessions. The sessions are held on Saturdays at Southend High School for Boys from 2-3pm. The cost is £3 per person and we are welcome to join from this coming Saturday (30th Jan). Please let me know if you would like to come along so that I can give them a rough estimate of numbers.

Finally, to those of you who can make it to our first social event of 2016 at the Estuary in Leigh tomorrow night, I look forward to catching up with you then and enjoying the musical talents of Mr Toby Duffin and his band.

David Thomas

Some of you might already know, but DT rang me this morning to say he fell off his bicycle on his driveway on Friday and broke his hip.

He is in Southend Hospital, Castle Point ward, but doesn't want any fuss.

Richard and I are hoping to visit him today sometime so we will let you all know how he is.

Mount CC Social Event

Given Mr Duffin’s appeals last year to bump up his band’s popularity so that they could headline at a festival, I thought we could see what the fuss is about by attending a local gig. To that end, I propose a Mount get together on Friday 29th January at The Estuary, Leigh Broadway meeting from 8pm. Groupies welcome. Hopefully see you there!
