Mount Cricket Club is sad to announce the passing of its longest serving member, David Thomas, who died peacefully yesterday evening. David was a player, captain, Life member and past president of the club over the many years, as well as Tour Manager of the legendary and happy trips to Somerset that we enjoyed and recall with fond memories. He was a wonderful and witty speaker and raconteur who could spin a yarn and keep us all entertained with his stories. And, not forgetting, a bowler who, with his unique action, took over 450 wickets for the club and no doubt ended the career of many young and old cricketers as a result!

David, you were a one off, you will be sorely missed but the club and everyone who knew and loved you is the richer for the experience. RIP.
