We need at least a further three players, if possible including a keeper, to complete our squad and allow for rest days and possible injuries. We owe it to our Somerset hosts to field competitive teams and to share the cricket fairly between Mount tourists. Of course, more supporters are welcome and there is still accommodation at Combe House and at nearby B&B’s.

Following the earlier cancellation of the Sunday's game, we have an opportunity to do some net practice.

Hope to see some of you down at Alleyn Court at about 16:00 for some cricket and then potentially down the Angel thereafter.

Unfortunately we did not manage to get enough players together to fulfill this fixture this weekend. It's a disappointing start to the season, so please do make every effort to make yourself available for the coming fixtures.

Noel and Toby have informed that the nets at Alleyn Court are going up today and there will be two ready for us to use this evening.

They are both going to be there from 18:30 onwards, so please do drop in for a net session if you are available.

The days are growing longer and warmer, which means that the cricket season is fast approaching.

I have attached the fixture list again for reference and it would be great to get your availability for the first few games as soon as possible. Please ensure that you include Richard Hair in your availability response emails as he has the dubious honour of being the team secretary this season.

Thanks to all Mount players who attended nets. There were occasions when we had the same number of players present as Westcliff CC! There has been some talk of arranging nets at Alleyn Court before the season starts and potentially even holding nets midweek during the season. I will send out a follow-up email as soon as I have confirmed the details.

The net sessions also produced a new Mount recruit and I am very pleased to welcome Toby Duffin to the club!
